RMC 1464 carries Topps UK Match Attax Champions to Premiership
Guests at a recent wedding where The Arriva Heritage Fleet's RM2217 was used to ferry guests to the reception, were so impressed, that they decided to hire The Arriva Heritage Fleet's RMC 1464 open top bus for a special corporate event of their own.

Match Attax is the official Premier League trading card game made by Topps. The collection features over 400 cards of players from all the Premier League clubs and is the best selling collectable in the UK with an estimated 1.3 million collectors.
The game involves two players using attack and defence ratings to out-score one another, just like in a proper Premier League match and it can become very tactical.
Qualifying heats were held in March and April at eleven cities across the UK and Ireland, as well as in Norway, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore and South Africa. Each event produced a regional winner who won an all expenses paid trip to London to compete in the finals.
In terms of exactly how the bus was used, it collected all the children and their parents as well as Topps staff (around 55 people in total) from our hotel near Hyde Park around 10.45 and we then travelled to Craven Cottage, going the 'long way round' so we could take in some of the sights on the way. Many of the children (particularly those from overseas) had never been to London before so it was very exciting and a real 'London' experience for them! We had special permission from the Police to drive the bus right to the stadium entrance, and then pick them up again after the match at around 6.45 pm. The bus had Match Attax branded ads along the sides and in the destination box, and we had also decorated it with streamers and balloons.
The bus was received fantastically well, it made what could have been a mundane coach journey to the stadium a real experience and added to the excitement of the day. Many of the children said it was one of their favourite parts of the whole weekend! The wonderful weather certainly made a difference however I'm sure it still would have been great even if the sun hadn't been out.
From a corporate point of view, it was a fantastic promotional opportunity as a significant number of people saw our branding on the bus as we drove around London, and the photos will be featured in numerous press and media. At the same time it really captured the fun nature of Match Attax.
