To The Garage

Once you have completed your training you will be assigned to a garage where you will be based for your daily duties.  At the garage you will be guided and helped by the supervisors and managers and also by a mentor, an experienced driving instructor who can help you with all work-related queries.

As a bus driver you will be expected to work the full range of shifts: early shifts starting from around 0400 hrs, middle shifts starting around 1000 to 1300 hrs and late shifts starting after 1500 hrs.  Buses operate 7 days a week and 24 hours a day so as a driver you need to be able to drive buses during these times, although night buses are usually driven on a volunteer basis.

You will know in advance when you will be working and when you will be resting.  You will also know what shift you will be working on.  This will mean that you can plan your personal life in advance.
