Process / Application

When we receive your application form, we will review it and, providing you meet our criteria, we will call you up for assessment.  Our assessment process is as follows:

• a written test to check your maths, your understanding of English and your highway code knowledge
• an assessment drive with one of our experienced assessors
• an interview with one of our garage management team

To drive a bus you have to add a category of entitlement to your driving licence.  You will need to see our doctor to ensure you meet the legal health standards.  If you currently have a medical condition then please check the DVLA website or speak to your doctor to see if you can still drive.

You will need to apply to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) to have the provisional entitlement added to your licence.  Once this has been done you can start training as a bus driver.
