Walk the 38 with Arriva and Maggie's

Arriva London and Maggie's have come together to encourage everyone to "Walk the 38" in 2012, in celebration of the route's centenary and in order to raise money for Maggie's.  Together we can help thousands of people living with cancer in the capital.

Walk the 38 through London this summer and help people affected by cancer.

What?

Help us celebrate the 100th birthday of the 38 by walking its 7½ mile route through London.

Who?

You can take part in teams, or as individuals, with friends, families and colleagues.

Where?

Along the 38 route between Clapton Pond and Victoria.

When?

Between 1st May and 14th September 2012 - pick whichever day suits you best!

Why?

To raise as much money as possible to help people with cancer in London.

How much?

It is £10 per person to register and a commitment to raise a minimum of £38.  This amount, as well as being the route number, is what it costs Maggie's every time someone walks through their door, so by taking on this challenge you will be helping Maggie's to change the life of a person affected by cancer.

The "Walk the 38" campaign provides you with the opportunity to walk this historical route, whilst raising funds for Maggie's.

You can walk the route any time between 1st May and 14th September 2012, and any way you would like.  Fancy dress, as a three-legged race, or even spread over a few days if you feel the whole route would be too much of a challenge in one go.

We would love you to get involved, and Maggie's will be providing some guided walks in the summer if you would rather walk with a group of other people.

An Adobe PDF A4 leaflet can be downloaded from here.

Further information and registration can be found at www.maggiescentres.org/walkthe38.

Below are two videos to show route 38 travelled in both directions - in six minutes each direction!
