Terry helps student with degree thesis

Terry ButlerArriva London Performance Manager Terry Butler was included as a reference in a dissertation titled ‘Bunching Behaviour on London Buses’, written by student David Bellinger as part of his master’s degree in Transport Planning and Management.

Terry spent two and a half hours talking with David, discussing his views on bus bunching in London, and providing an opportunity for David to see how everything worked first-hand.

Terry said, “He was very impressed with what we did. I think he wanted first-hand experience on how we work, our views on the subject, driver mentality and how we manage it all.”

Regarding his inclusion in the 18,500 word-long thesis, Terry said “I didn’t really think a lot of it,” he said. “I just spoke candidly about the problems we face and how it all works on a day-to-day basis.
“I just told him my views and beliefs and he was a lot more interested in me than I thought!”
