Arriva London drives train loads of passengers!
In addition to the daily routine of carrying over a million passengers per day across London, Arriva London has been successful in securing a three week contract to run a Victoria Line Underground replacement service between Walthamstow Central and Stratford City.
The bus replacement service is necessary as the Victoria line is being closed for three weeks, starting on Monday 10th August, to permit expansion work to be carried out, allowing a greater volume of trains to be received at Walthamstow in the future.
During the contract period, the buses, arriving to and from Stratford, will give passengers the opportunity of connecting with the Jubilee and Central lines as well as National Rail. At the same time, Arriva London is also assisting another bus operator during this closure, with a replacement service between Walthamstow and Seven Sisters.
Rail replacement converts to rugby!
Immediately following this contract, Arriva London’s Commercial team will start planning the company’s involvement, in supplying transport for fans and officials at the Rugby World Cup operation at Twickenham.
The rugby theme continues with a new season of Saracen shuttles, providing fans with transport to and from Saracen’s home games at Allianz Park, from Edgware, Mill Hill Broadway and Mill Hill East stations. Arriva London is pleased to announce that this contract has been renewed for a further two seasons.

Last summer, we were delighted to be awarded the contract from TfL to operate route W4 running from Oakthorpe Park Estate to Tottenham Ferry Lane estate, operating from Wood Green garage.
As part of our commitment to developing our business, we invest heavily in training for all of our staff to offer the great customer experience. We also look at other ways in which we can develop our relationships with the communities we serve, and allow them the opportunity of learning about our processes and to meet some of the team.
Over the past few months we have been working with TfL, conducting Accessibility Awareness forums at our garages.
