Arriva London win Most Innovative Campaign award at this year's National Payroll Giving Excellence Awards Ceremony
Arriva London's colleagues make an enormous contribution to various charities through the Payroll Giving scheme, and by telling their generous stories, Arriva London was able to create their award winning campaign.
The campaign featured individual stories of why these employees had wanted to give to their chosen charities.
Peter Batty, the Commercial Director of Arriva London, said "It's a great honour to win this award and to receive it on behalf of all our staff who contribute weekly to Payroll Giving, without which the campaign would not have been successful."
As well as winning this award, Arriva London were fortunate to win a Gold Award through Payroll Giving, and in 2016 are looking to achieve a Platinum award.
Arriva London is one of the biggest bus operators in London, providing 18% of the capital's bus services under contract to Transport for London (TfL). Contracts involve routes, vehicles and timetables specified by TfL and are closely monitored to ensure services are of the highest quality.
Arriva London has ensured that every one of their employees knows that they offer the scheme, they highlighted Arriva London's pride in the scheme and listened to why their employees want to do Payroll Giving and shared throughout the business.

We have the ambition to become the mobility partner of choice, preferred by our passengers, partners and clients. Having a diverse, talented and motivated workforce is key to achieving that ambition.
We are always looking at ways to improve our green credentials and a recent initiative, part of our Destination Green programme across the business, at our North London Palmers Green garage is another illustration of this process.
Last summer, we were delighted to be awarded the contract from TfL to operate route W4 running from Oakthorpe Park Estate to Tottenham Ferry Lane estate, operating from Wood Green garage.
As part of our commitment to developing our business, we invest heavily in training for all of our staff to offer the great customer experience. We also look at other ways in which we can develop our relationships with the communities we serve, and allow them the opportunity of learning about our processes and to meet some of the team.
Over the past few months we have been working with TfL, conducting Accessibility Awareness forums at our garages.
Doing the right thing, one of our four brand values, is what we have been doing for the last six years by encouraging all of our employees to give to their favourite charities through our Payroll Giving scheme - during this time, they have given more than £1,000,000 pounds to over 160 charities.
