New Control Centre and Satellite Base opens

Route 38Route 38Following the conversion of route 38 from bendy bus to double deck operation the need to oversee the crew changeovers and route control has meant that a new control centre and satellite base has been opened by Arriva London.

The new satellite base is situated at Mildmay Park off Essex Road in North London, a few miles from Clapton garage. Arriva has leased two offices. The downstairs office is used for garage supervisors’ administration, drivers signing on and off and is also a restroom facility.

At the moment six workstations are being used to supervise routes 38, 242, 393, 135, 253, 254 and 78, however there is capacity for 10 workstations which will allow for expansion.
