Arriva London retains route 78

  
  

Arriva London has been successful in retaining route 78 (Shoreditch - Nunhead) at Ash Grove.

The new contract starts in November this year and will be operated with new hybrid double deck vehicles.

Peter Batty, Commercial Director Arriva London, said "Ash Grove has operated the route since 2010 following on from the successful operation of previous contracts at Barking.  It is rewarding for all those involved that we have been able to retain the route for a further five years."

D Melina, a bus driver at Ash Grove who's been driving with Arriva London on route 78 for the last seven years, said "I'm delighted we've retained the route.  It's a great route and I know that all the 78 drivers are pleased we've kept it for the next five years."
