Arriva London Shortlisted in UK Bus awards

Palmers Green garagePalmers Green garageArriva London’s Palmers Green garage has been shortlisted for “London Bus Garage of the Year” at the forthcoming UK Bus awards in November. Having already taken the top spot in 2007 and 2008 with Brixton and Beddington Farm Garages, we are hoping to make it a hat trick of wins.

With only six garages making it onto the shortlist, it’s already a great achievement for Palmers Green and is a testament to the outstanding work that’s going on at the garage.

It’s also a reflection of the team’s efforts, across all departments.

General manager Peter Mhagrh said: “As a garage, Palmers Green is continuing to go from strength to strength.

“It’s performing very well, particularly in the driver quality league where it’s in the top five garages in London.

“The mileage operated is also fantastic, which proves the team really delivers a quality product.

“The ethos of the employees is one of the reasons why the garage does so well. The people really care about what they do and they work together as a team and have excellent trade union support.”

Performance is being assessed in areas such as Driver Quality Monitoring data, results from a customer satisfaction survey and mystery traveller Survey results, lost mileage, quality of service indicators and engineering standards.

The best garage will be rewarded with a cash prize to be used on facilities, which will benefit the entire team.
