Arriva retains route 38
Arriva London has been successful in retaining the contract for route 38 and N38, with double deck operation at all times. The start date for the new contract is July 2009 but a date for conversion from bendy to double deck has yet to be agreed.
Commercial director, Peter Batty said: “The re-award of one of our largest contracts is huge recognition for the efforts that we have made to run this route reliably against a backdrop of roadworks, diversions and increased congestion over the past year.”
The route is currently operated between Clapton Pond and Victoria using 47 buses.
