Lisa Collins
Lisa Collins is Arriva London's training and development manager, responsible for the training of all driving staff.
This means that, at any one time, Lisa will be managing 65 driving instructors, who are training over 110 drivers, both in North and South London.
The success of Arriva London in providing bus services across the capital has seen her responsibilities grow, and what Lisa likes about working for the company is the opportunity it offers for staff to develop with that success.
Starting as a bus driver in 1992, her career has developed through roles in driving instruction, recruitment and garage supervision, to her current position.
With a husband and family, she is always kept busy, but doesn’t neglect her two other interests, travelling and cats. She has two Siamese cats of her own, but also has a great interest in the preservation of large, wild cats that have been injured or mistreated.
In her spare time, she enjoys holidaying abroad, and as part of her role as a training manager, she is required to travel around the UK to meet with other Arriva managers.
Lisa says ‘I enjoy the comradeship and the challenge of working in Arriva, and the opportunities it has to offer, and I would encourage anyone to join’.
